Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered a lower leg injury in the team’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Love was hit by two Eagles defensive players while attempting a pass in the final seconds of the game. He was helped off the field and did not reenter the game. Backup quarterback Malik Willis replaced Love for the final two plays. Love had a strong showing in the game, throwing for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Coach Matt LaFleur was uncertain about the severity of Love’s injury. Love signed a lucrative contract in July to remain with the Packers through 2028. He had a breakout season as a starter last year, throwing for over 4,000 yards and leading the team to the postseason. The 25-year-old quarterback’s injury status and recovery will be closely monitored as the story develops.
