Utah woman reaches plea agreement over TikTok video showing her pulling teen’s skirt down

Ida Lorenzo, a Utah woman who went viral after allegedly pulling down a young woman’s skirt in public, has entered into a plea deal on a misdemeanor sexual battery charge. The incident, which occurred at a St. George eatery, was caught on camera and posted to social media. In the video, Lorenzo, who claimed to work for the state, can be seen confronting the young woman about her skirt and attempting to pull it down. The young woman and her friends defended her, stating that she was over 18. Lorenzo called the police the following day, claiming that the young woman was wearing explicit clothing. However, the young woman later came forward, alleging that she was sexually assaulted by Lorenzo. The victim and seven witnesses provided statements confirming the incident.

Lorenzo was initially charged with sexual battery as a class A misdemeanor, but the charge was lowered to a class B misdemeanor in the plea deal. Under the agreement, she will not receive a sentence as long as she complies with certain terms, including not committing any crimes and undergoing a mental health evaluation. Lorenzo has declined to comment on the plea deal, and she was terminated from her job at the Utah Attorney General’s Office shortly after the incident. NBC News has reached out to the AG office for comment.
