The meeting took place at the Murdoch family ranch, located near Dillon, Montana, approximately 70 miles south of Butte. The details surrounding the discussions remain unclear as the vice president’s office typically does not release his schedule, leading to speculation during his brief visit.

Montana State Auditor James Brown was instrumental in organizing the visit; he met Vance upon his arrival and assisted in guiding the vice president’s entourage to the ranch. While Vance’s office did not disclose details about the meeting’s agenda, discussions between political figures and media leadership often draw attention, raising questions about their implications for future collaborations or support.
