Montana Game Wardens Seek Public Help in Fishing Access Break-In

MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana game wardens are on the hunt for information regarding a break-in at the self-pay station of the Voyager’s Rest Fishing Access Site (FAS) near Ballantine. The incident occurred on the evening of May 29, with the suspect returning the following morning to successfully access the station. This break-in is part of a worrying trend of similar incidents at the site.

Security footage captured images of the perpetrator, who is believed to be linked to a dark-colored Ford F-150 pickup truck. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or the break-in to step forward.

Individuals with knowledge about the incident can contact game warden Jake Barzen at 406-409-1987 or visit tipmont.mt.gov to provide anonymous tips. Those who offer information may qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
