Press Release: Tickets on Sale for Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The annual Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame and Grizzly Lifetime Honors Award Banquet is set to celebrate the illustrious careers of four Montana sporting legends on Friday, October 4, at the Adams Center on the University of Montana campus. Fans can purchase tickets now for this prestigious event, which kicks off with a no-host social at 5 p.m., followed by a plated dinner and festivities starting at 6 p.m.
This year, Grizzly football will take center stage, as three of the four inductees made significant contributions on the gridiron. Honorees include Colt Anderson, an All-American safety from Butte; Scott Gurnsey, an All-Big Sky receiver and longtime radio analyst from Tumwater, Washington; and Dylan McFarland, an All-American offensive lineman from Kalispell. Additionally, Lady Griz standout Kelly (Pilcher) Beattie, an All-Big Sky guard from Missoula, will also be recognized.
Posthumously, George Dennison, UM’s longest-serving president, will receive the Grizzly Lifetime Honors Award for his unwavering support of Grizzly Athletics and its student-athletes.
Tickets for this unforgettable evening are priced at $60 and include a social hour with inductees, a seated dinner, and reserved seating. Groups can also purchase tables of 10. Visit GrizTix.com for more details.
Celebrations do not end with the banquet; the inductees will be honored during the Grizzlies’ home football game against Weber State on October 5, where single-game and season tickets are also available through GrizTix.com.
Founded in 1993, the Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding student-athletes, coaches, and teams who have significantly contributed to the University of Montana’s athletic legacy. Established in 2018, the Grizzly Lifetime Honors Award acknowledges supporters of Grizzly Athletics beyond athletes and coaches.
