MISSOULA, Mont. – A vibrant new mural, "Alive with the Land," is set to adorn the south wall of Worden’s Market, spearheaded by Montana artist Madison Perrins. Known for her abstract pieces, Perrins is excited to bring her vision to life through the 1,250-foot mural, inspired by the stunning landscapes of Montana. The project, which started on June 6, will showcase a figure with a wine bottle spilling a galaxy of stars over the state’s natural beauty.
Perrins, originally from Columbus and currently based in Bozeman, reflects on her decade-long artistic journey, stating, “When I was a young, broke college kid ten years ago, I couldn’t imagine that this is what I would be doing.” The mural is one of two funded this year by the Arts and Culture Impact Grant from the Missoula Downtown Foundation, aimed at transforming public spaces into enticing attractions.
Worden’s Market owner, Matt Muhsam, expressed enthusiasm for the project, hoping it will draw visitors and enhance community experience. Scheduled for completion on June 17 or 18, this initiative underscores Missoula’s commitment to fostering a vibrant artistic community.
