Caleb Bellach Takes the Helm at Manhattan High School Basketball
BUTTE — Caleb Bellach, recently appointed head coach of Manhattan High School’s boys basketball team, shared his excitement for this new role at a summer tournament in Butte. A standout at Montana Tech, where he led the Orediggers to three consecutive Frontier Conference titles, Bellach is embracing the transition from player to coach. "It’s surreal, but I’m enjoying myself," he remarked, reflecting on his journey from a successful college athlete to a coach.
After a brief stint playing professionally in Germany, Bellach returned to Montana and briefly coached in Wyoming before being hired at Manhattan this past May. "Coaching a school I’ve competed against just seven miles from where I grew up is thrilling," he said, crediting his varied coaching experiences for shaping his approach.
With a roster that includes freshman, junior varsity, and varsity players, he aims to provide more playing opportunities. "This summer, I want to push the pace and play fast," Bellach noted, aware that the real challenges lie ahead in the fall. Fans can look forward to his dynamic coaching style as he embarks on this exciting chapter in his basketball journey.
