Montana High School Rodeo Association State Finals Showcase Talent in Kalispell

KALISPELL, MT – The Montana High School Rodeo Association (MHSRA) State Finals took place at the Majestic Valley Arena, highlighting a fierce display of talent among young rodeo competitors. Leighton Lafromboise from Helena topped the 2nd Go Round with an impressive score of 69.5, followed closely by Wyatt Warneke from Great Falls, who scored 67. In the overall average standings, Lafromboise again led with a total of 145.

In the barrel racing category, Raenee Mapston from Belt captured the 2nd Go Round with a time of 15.83 seconds, narrowly defeating Abigail DeVos. Meanwhile, Landry Larson of Sidney maintained her lead in the average standings. Team roping saw notable performances from Levi Noyes and Wace Williams, who both delivered solid scores in their respective categories.

As the competition progresses, anticipation builds for the championship round scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m., promising an exciting conclusion to this year’s event. Spectators and participants alike eagerly await to see which talented young riders will ultimately claim the state titles.
