Press Release: Bestselling Author Laura Munson to Host Book Reading in Whitefish
Whitefish, MT – On June 2, bestselling author Laura Munson will celebrate the launch of her new book, “The Wild Why,” at Second Story in downtown Whitefish. The event will feature an engaging reading and conversation centered on the themes of creativity, self-expression, and kindness through wonder. Munson, a local resident, is renowned for her works including the novel “Willa’s Grove” and the memoir “This Is Not The Story You Think It Is.” She is also the founder of Haven Writing Retreats and has contributed to prominent publications such as "Vanity Fair," "Time," and "Newsweek."
The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening to attendees. Live music by Little Knotty will follow at 7:30 p.m., complemented by an aerial silks performance from Anna Faith of Aerial Wonder. The book reading begins at 8 p.m., and signed copies of “The Wild Why” will be available for purchase. A suggested donation of $10 will support the “Whitefish Review,” a nonprofit arts and literary journal.
