Cash Lawrence Named 2025 Gatorade Montana Baseball Player of the Year
CHICAGO — Cash Lawrence, a standout junior from Hamilton, has been honored as the 2025 Gatorade Montana baseball player of the year, the organization announced on Monday. As a right-handed pitcher and third baseman, Lawrence led the Hamilton Broncs to a commendable 17-4 season, earning a fourth-place finish at the state tournament.
Lawrence showcased his pitching prowess with an impressive 7-0 record, a 1.11 ERA, and a remarkable 60 strikeouts in 44 innings, allowing opponents to hit just .120 against him. Notably, in a crucial 1-0 victory against Billings Skyview in the state tournament, he delivered a complete-game shutout with nine strikeouts.
Off the field, Lawrence is equally dedicated, participating in community service through the Hamilton Broncs Street Cleanup, while also volunteering as a youth baseball umpire and instructor. Academically, he excels with a 3.67 GPA and was recognized as an academic all-state selection in 2024.
"His commitment is unmatched, and his effort is contagious," praised Hamilton coach Trevor Paro, highlighting Lawrence’s leadership and passion for the game. Last year’s award went to Cayde Stajcar from Butte.
