Dior Appoints Jonathan Anderson as First Dual Creative Director for Men’s and Women’s Collections

In a groundbreaking move, French luxury brand Dior has named Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson as its first-ever creative director for both men’s and women’s collections. This appointment follows the departure of Italian Maria Grazia Chiuri, who led the women’s line for nine years. Anderson, already serving as the artistic director of Dior’s men’s collection since April, will now oversee both lines.

"Jonathan Anderson is one of the greatest creative talents of his generation," remarked Bernard Arnault, CEO of parent company LVMH. At just 40 years old, Anderson previously revitalized the Spanish luxury brand Loewe and has gained acclaim for his innovative design approach and a celebrity clientele including the likes of Beyoncé and Rihanna.

In his first statement as dual director, Anderson expressed his honor and inspiration from Dior’s rich history, vowing to craft a new narrative for the iconic house alongside its legendary ateliers. His inaugural collection, Dior Men Summer 2026, is set to debut at Paris Fashion Week on June 27. With this bold appointment, Dior aims to rejuvenate its creative vision and ensure continued growth under the leadership of Delphine Arnault.
