Exciting News: Children’s Museum of Montana Reveals New Location!

Great Falls Children’s Museum Finds New Home Amid Exciting Changes

GREAT FALLS — After closing its doors on November 10, 2024, the Spark! Children’s Museum of Montana is gearing up for a fresh start at its new location at 201 Second Avenue South, previously the site of B&B Loan & Rental.

Board president Sarah Lautenschlager expressed her excitement, stating, “We are just taking a minute and taking it all in and being so grateful that we are able to move forward.” The new building boasts natural light and the potential for future expansion, with aspirations to turn it into a permanent home through fundraising efforts aimed at raising $4 million over the next four years for sustained programs and rotating exhibits.

In the meantime, the museum will engage the community with several "pop-up" events scheduled throughout the summer, including free activities at local venues like the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and Gibson Park. Local business owner Andrew Brown is optimistic about the increased foot traffic the museum is expected to bring downtown.

Spark! Children’s Museum hopes to officially open its new space by late 2025 or early 2026, marking a promising new chapter for local families.
