As the graduation season approaches, stories of perseverance abound among the Class of 2025, instilling hope for the future. This year’s Inter Lake series highlighted inspiring seniors from Glacier High School, Whitefish High School, Flathead High School, and Bigfork High School, showcasing their tenacity in overcoming life’s challenges.
Among them is Abby Dose from Glacier High School, who bravely battled acute myeloid leukemia and is now set to study nursing at Montana State University, motivated by the care she received. “I prefer to focus on the future,” she expressed, aiming to care for others.
Maggie Mercer, a senior at Whitefish High School, embodies compassion by mentoring peers and leading fundraising efforts for cancer support. She aspires to inspire future leaders, emphasizing community involvement without seeking recognition.
Joangerli Katherine Gonzalez, from Flathead, overcame language barriers after immigrating from South America, dedicating herself to academics while assisting fellow Spanish-speaking students. “Trying new things is essential,” she reflects on her journey.
Lastly, Bigfork’s Sam Ayers exhibited resilience through recovery from surgery, quickly returning to his cross-country team. “He’s always caring for others,” hailed his coach.
Embodying resilience, compassion, and courage, the Class of 2025 is poised to make impactful contributions to the world. Congratulations to these remarkable graduates!
