Press Release: Class AA State Softball Tournament Kicks Off in Great Falls
Great Falls is set to host the eagerly awaited Class AA State Softball Tournament from May 22-24, bringing together some of Montana’s top high school teams. The competition will take place at the Great Falls Sports Complex over three action-packed days.
The tournament begins on Thursday, May 22, with the first round featuring four exciting matchups. Game 1 will see Belgrade take on Missoula Sentinel at 2 p.m., while Kalispell Glacier faces Billings West in Game 2, also at 2 p.m. The afternoon continues with Helena going head-to-head with Gallatin in Game 3, scheduled for 4 p.m., and Billings Senior battling Missoula Big Sky in Game 4, also at 4 p.m.
On Friday, May 23, the tournament proceeds to the quarterfinals. The winners from Games 1 and 2 will compete at 10 a.m., followed by the victors of Games 3 and 4 at the same time. The challenges intensify with loser’s bracket games throughout the day, culminating in the pivotal semifinal matchups at 5 p.m.
The championship excitement continues into Saturday, May 24, beginning with the third-place game at 10 a.m. The ultimate showdown for the state title is scheduled for noon, with a potential second championship game immediately following if necessary.
Teams and fans alike will be treated to exhilarating softball action, as the best compete for the state championship.
