Montana Range Days Returns to Miles City: A Celebration of Rangelands
Miles City is set to welcome participants from June 23rd-25th for the annual Montana Range Days, the state’s premier event dedicated to rangeland education. Drawing youth and adults alike, the event emphasizes the importance of Montana’s rangelands, which encompass over 70% of the state.
Children as young as four will enjoy specially designed outdoor exploration activities, while older students and adults can participate in hands-on workshops led by range professionals. Topics include plant identification, soil science, and ecology, with opportunities for participants to showcase their skills and win prizes.
Local tours will highlight the area’s agricultural diversity, featuring locations such as Tongue River Winery and Fort Keogh.
The main gathering will take place at the Custer County Event Center at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds. Registration is priced at $60 per participant, covering five meals, or $120 for families (up to four). Conservation districts may also assist with costs. For more information and registration, visit Montana Range Days or find them on Facebook. Come join the celebration and learn about the vital resources sustaining Montana’s landscapes!
