Montana State Welcomes New Football Commit: Nick Seymour Follows in His Brother’s Footsteps
BOZEMAN, MT — Montana State University has announced the commitment of Nick Seymour, a senior wide receiver from Valencia High School in California, marking an exciting addition to the Bobcats’ football program. Nick is the younger brother of Ben Seymour, a defensive end who made his mark with MSU in 2022 and 2023.
Nick shared his enthusiasm for joining the Bobcats, saying, “I grew up wanting to be like my brother. Getting the opportunity to play with the Bobcats and follow in his footsteps is really cool.” His journey to Bozeman began with a preferred walk-on offer from the coaching staff after a spot opened up, allowing him to shift his focus from the College of the Canyons, where he initially planned to play.
During his senior season, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound athlete showcased remarkable talent, catching 52 passes for 1,093 yards and nine touchdowns. Additionally, he excelled on defense as a safety and contributed on special teams, demonstrating his versatility.
Ben expressed pride in his younger brother’s achievement, emphasizing Nick’s reliability and work ethic. “Bobcat fans can expect to see an electric playmaker who’s not afraid to block for others and fulfill any role needed,” he noted.
Having attended several games at Bobcat Stadium, Nick was drawn to the competitive spirit and energetic atmosphere of MSU football, stating, “I like how competitive they are… I’m super excited to be a part of that.” The Seymour brothers join a legacy at MSU that includes numerous sibling pairings, further enriching the Bobcats’ family tradition.
With Nick’s commitment, the Montana State Bobcats strengthen their roster and continue to build a legacy of family ties in college football.
