MISSOULA — The two-day Lake City Open, held at Polson Bay Golf Course, concluded this weekend, showcasing outstanding performances from local golfers. Sean Ramsbacher of Missoula emerged victorious in the amateur division, posting an impressive 9-under score of 67-68-135. This win marks Ramsbacher’s second title in the tournament, having previously triumphed in 2021. Following closely behind was former University of Providence golfer Ben Kaul, who finished in second place with an 8-under score of 68-68-136. Local competitor Nate Gage of Polson initially led but ultimately placed third with a score of 64-74-138 among the 126 amateurs in the tournament.
In the professional division, Garrett Woodin from Billings clinched the title, finishing with a remarkable 13-under score of 65-66-131. Moore previously set a tournament record with a blistering score of 62 on Saturday, including an impressive 27 on the back nine. A total of 30 professionals contested for the title. Meanwhile, Ryan Malby from Kalispell dominated the senior pro division, winning by eight strokes with a score of 65-71-136, adding to his seven-time success at the Lake City Open.
