Press Release: Seth Amunrud Commits to Montana State Men’s Basketball Program

BOZEMAN — Seth Amunrud, a standout guard from Dawson Community College and a Manhattan Christian alum, has officially committed to join the Montana State men’s basketball team. The announcement was made by JucoRecruiting.com, confirming Amunrud’s decision to transition to the Bobcats.

Amunrud, who previously signed with the University of Denver, shifted his focus after the program underwent coaching changes. Over two successful years at Dawson, he established himself as a premier junior college player, averaging 21.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in the 2024-25 season. His impressive shooting statistics—55.2% from the field, 46.8% from beyond the arc, and 88.7% from the free-throw line—earned him multiple accolades, including second-team All-American and MVP of both Region XIII and the Mon-Dak Conference.

As Dawson’s leading scorer, Amunrud helped propel the Bucs to a remarkable 29-4 record and a championship title. He joins the Bobcats as their seventh transfer signee this offseason, adding to a promising roster. With his skills and background, Amunrud is expected to make a significant impact at Montana State.
