Montana Grizzlies Football Team Faces Unique 2025 Schedule
MISSOULA – The Montana Grizzlies football team is set to embark on a groundbreaking 2025 season, featuring an unprecedented 12 consecutive games with no true bye week. This ambitious schedule includes a historic eight home games in the regular season, a first for any FCS team. The Grizzlies will have their sole bye week in Week 1, strategically scheduling all four non-conference games at their home ground while aligning with the Big Sky Conference schedule.
Kicking off the season on September 6 in Missoula, the Grizzlies will play four home games before their first away trip to Pocatello, Idaho, on October 4. They won’t board a plane until later in the month, heading to Sacramento, California, for their matchup on October 25.
The Grizzlies will face only three teams that finished the previous season with a winning record, two of them being FCS programs. The first opponent, Central Washington, holds an 8-4 record and was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. This game marks their fourth meeting since the 2021 season.
Montana will have opportunities for redemption against teams like North Dakota, which narrowly defeated them in a previous matchup, and Idaho State, which has not contested the Grizzlies in the past season.
The rivalry with Montana State will culminate in the season finale on November 22, where the Grizzlies will aim to break a recent trend of losses against their rivals.
As the Grizzlies prepare for this challenging season, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how the team’s strategic scheduling and home-field advantage will play a critical role in their quest for victory.
