Montana Natural Heritage Program Launches User-Friendly Website
Helena, MT – April 21, 2023 – The Montana Natural Heritage Program (MNHP) has unveiled a new, mobile-friendly website designed to simplify access to vital information about Montana’s native and non-native species and habitats. The revamped Dashboards and Tools page offers comprehensive data, with upcoming features such as a Montana Beaver Restoration Hub and a Montana Invasive Species Watchlist set to be added in the coming weeks.
Key enhancements include user-friendly tools for submitting plant and animal data to the MNHP’s database and access to the new Montana Native Plant Conservation Strategy. The MNHP, established in 1983 and operating under the Montana State Library, comprises a dedicated team of zoologists, ecologists, and botanists committed to studying and disseminating knowledge about Montana’s natural resources.
The public is encouraged to explore the new website at mtnhp.mt.gov, and to update their bookmarks accordingly. As part of its mission, the Montana State Library continues to provide exceptional resources and services to support the state’s communities and organizations.
