Palm Springs Gears Up for ‘Retro Palm Springs’ Convention
Palm Springs is set to take a nostalgic trip back in time with the debut of "Retro Palm Springs," an exciting convention featuring stars from iconic TV shows like “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Saved by the Bell.” Scheduled for May 3-4 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, the event promises to transport approximately 3,000 fans to the heart of pop culture history.
“This convention will be a time capsule celebrating the eras that continue to inspire,” said Brian Boget, co-producer of the event and organizer of the annual Creep I.E. conventions. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet beloved celebrities, many of whom shaped their childhoods. Among the highlights will be Tori Spelling, known for her role as Donna in “90210,” and Brian Austin Green, who played David. They will be joined by Christine Elise, who portrayed the memorable Emily Valentine.
From the "Bayside" crew, Mark Paul Gosselaar as Zack Morris, Mario Lopez as A.C. Slater, and Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie will also make appearances, along with other nostalgic figures like Soleil Moon Frye from “Punky Brewster,” Kerri Green from “The Goonies,” and John Ratzenberger from “Cheers.” Autographs and photos can be purchased separately.
In addition to celebrity meet-and-greets, attendees can explore a vendor village featuring over 50 booths selling retro clothing, memorabilia, and even old video tapes. Notably, the convention will not include celebrity panels, allowing fans to connect directly and more personally with their idols.
For those looking to relive cherished moments, "Retro Palm Springs" offers a fantastic chance to meet childhood stars in a vibrant and engaging setting.
