A private plane crashed in Columbia County, New York, killing all six people on board, including MIT graduate James Santoro and former MIT soccer player Karenna Groff. Family friend John Santoro confirmed the deaths of his son and the Groff family in the crash, which occurred while they were en route to a holiday celebration.
