InterGlobe Enterprises’ lifestyle hotel brand Miiro, which was launched last year, now has 15 assets across Europe and is gaining momentum, according to group managing director Rahul Bhatia. The brand, which is wholly-owned by InterGlobe Enterprises UK, has acquired over 2,100 rooms in key European cities such as London, Paris, Barcelona, Vienna, and Budapest. The brand has received positive feedback from customers since its launch, with more than 550,000 room nights sold.
In India, InterGlobe has 30 hotels in 14 cities with over 5,800 keys. Bhatia emphasized the vast hospitality opportunity in the country, comparing it to the evolution of the organized sector in the transportation industry.
Recently, InterGlobe and Accor formed a partnership to establish 300 hotels in India by 2030. Bhatia highlighted the synergy between the two companies and the potential for their loyalty programs to be linked. This partnership is expected to benefit from IndiGo’s global expansion plans, aligning with Accor’s strengths in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Bhatia expressed optimism about the future of the hospitality sector in India and the growth potential for both InterGlobe and Accor. He highlighted the strategic decisions made by the group to launch its own brand, Miiro, independently, and expand its presence in the international hospitality market.
