Lockwood’s AD Mike Erickson to assume new position in Glasgow


Glasgow High School in Montana has announced the hiring of Mike Erickson as its new athletic director, replacing Dalton Reid. Erickson, a native of Vida and a graduate of Circle High School, brings 18 years of athletic administrative experience to the role. He has previously served as athletic director in Wolf Point, Hardin, and Lockwood, where he was named Yellowstone County AD of the Year in 2023. Erickson, who also has coaching experience in basketball, earned his degree from Montana State University Billings. He currently serves as President of the MIAAA, representing all 182 MHSA member schools Athletic Directors. In his new role, Erickson will also serve as the lead strength and conditioning coach in Glasgow High School’s Physical Education department. The announcement was made by Glasgow Superintendent of Schools Brenner Flaten, who praised Erickson’s experience and leadership qualities. The new athletic director is set to start in August, and the Glasgow community is looking forward to the positive impact he will bring to the school’s athletic programs.
