Ahkeema Love, the mother of New Orleans Pelican Zion Williamson’s child, was arrested in connection with a home invasion case involving a woman who may have been viewed as a romantic rival. Love was charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, and stalking after allegedly assaulting the woman who shares a romantic partner with Love. The altercation reportedly involved Love grabbing the victim’s hair, striking her with keys, and causing lacerations and scratches to her face and arms.
Love, who delivered a child shared with their romantic partner, was arrested at an address that appears to be Zion Williamson’s home. While Williamson and Love have a daughter together, Williamson was not named in the affidavit detailing the incident. Love had a bond hearing and has been released from custody, with an order of protection issued in the case.
In March, Love had announced her pregnancy on social media without naming the child’s father. Photos posted by Love in August showed Williamson, and she also posted a picture of herself on the Pelicans’ court in November. The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office declined to comment on open cases related to the incident. Zion Williamson has not provided any comments on the matter.
