The Box Elder Bears boys basketball team achieved a remarkable feat, finishing the past two seasons with a perfect 52-0 record. The team wrapped up back-to-back unbeaten seasons by winning the Class C championship 65-60 over Manhattan Christian. Seniors Tracen Jilot, Tuarie Stiffarm-Rosette, Alex Four Colors, and Dreyden Anderson expressed their relief and happiness at accomplishing their goal of winning the championship. The seniors, who also went undefeated in football to win the 6-Man state championship last season, have not experienced a loss in either sport since November. Coach Jeremy MacDonald commended the seniors for their hard work and described them as a special group that made history by becoming the first boys team in the school’s history to win back-to-back championships. The seniors expressed their desire to inspire the younger generation and leave a lasting legacy at Box Elder High School. Looking ahead, the team will aim to match the longest winning streak in Montana boys basketball history, set by Scobey from 2019 to 2021, by winning five more games next season. The Bears’ achievement is a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and talent, making them a force to be reckoned with in high school sports.
