Montana News featuring Richard Otis Garber


Richard Otis Garber, a well-respected member of the Green Bay community, passed away at the age of 83 after battling Lymphoma. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Richard had a fulfilling life, including serving in the United States Army and enjoying a successful career in sales and marketing. He was a devoted husband to Mary, a loving father to his children Gary and Laura, and a cherished grandfather to his four grandchildren.

Richard will be remembered for his love of travel, swimming, golfing, and most importantly, his dedication to his friends and family. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held on April 12, 2025, at Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Green Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charities that were important to Richard and his family, including Cultivating Connections Montana, HEARTism in Hamilton, Montana, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The family expresses their gratitude to Dr. Matthew Ryan and Green Bay Oncology, as well as Dr. David Richards and Prevea Health, for their care and support.
