The Montana VA has revealed that veterans account for more than 10 percent of Ravalli County’s total population. Due to increasing health care demands, the previous clinic in Hamilton was unable to keep up, prompting the construction of a new, larger facility. The new eleven million dollar clinic on North 1st Street is 600 percent bigger than its predecessor, offering improved parking and spacious facilities.
Hamilton veteran Andrew Poff expressed his satisfaction with the new clinic, highlighting the increased space and services available, such as physical therapy now offered twice a week. Despite reports of potential Department of Veterans Affairs employee cuts by the Trump Administration, Montana VA Executive Director Duane Gill assures that there will be no impact on veteran health care services.
The grand opening ceremony for Hamilton’s new VA Clinic is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m., providing veterans in the area with access to a larger, more comprehensive healthcare facility.
