Montana State University is currently accepting applications for its $100,000 Venture Competition, organized by the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship and the MSU Blackstone LaunchPad. Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to present their business ideas, receive feedback, and compete for startup funding. The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, researchers, post-doctoral researchers, and recent alumni from Montana State University, the University of Montana, and Montana Technological University. There are three categories for the competition: Social Impact, Deep Tech or University-based Research, and Traditional Venture. Applicants must submit their online applications by March 30, with semifinalists being notified on April 4. The finalists will compete on April 24 at MSU’s Norm Asbjornson Hall. The event is free and open to the public, providing connections with entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and network resources. Previous winners are not eligible to compete, and projects that have received venture capital or angel funding are also not eligible.
