New indictment claims Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs involved in ‘forced labor’

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a new indictment by prosecutors in the United States, accusing him of forcing employees to work long hours and threatening punishment if they did not assist in his alleged two-decade sex trafficking scheme. Combs, who has pleaded not guilty, is scheduled to go to trial in May on federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His lawyer has denied the accusations and stated that Combs looks forward to his day in court to prove his innocence.

The new indictment does not add any new charges but describes the “forced labor” that Combs allegedly demanded as part of the racketeering conspiracy, using threats of physical, financial, psychological, and reputational harm to control employees. Prosecutors claim that some employees were pressured into engaging in sexual acts as a result of this alleged coercion.

Prosecutors are expected to provide additional details to Combs’ lawyers by March 10, with an arraignment on the new indictment set for March 14. Despite the allegations, Combs’ lawyer mentioned that former employees are standing by him and are prepared to testify to his character and the positive work experience they had while working for him.

Combs’ alleged sex trafficking scheme is said to have run from 2004 to 2024, and many civil lawsuits have been filed against him under a New York City law that allowed alleged victims of gender-motivated violence to sue even if statutes of limitations had expired. Combs is currently in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial.
