Reservations for float-in campsites along the Blackfoot River will be available starting Monday


Outdoor enthusiasts are gearing up for the upcoming float season on the Blackfoot River Recreation Corridor. With eight paddle-up campsites available from Russell Gates to Johnsrud Park Fishing Access Site, reservations are now open for the April 1 to October 31 season.

This year, a new reservation system is in place, allowing for bookings to be made several months in advance. Availability for the next month is released on the first Monday of each month, giving paddlers a chance to secure their spot. Interested campers can check dates on the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks website and then call the Reserve America call center at 1-855-922-6768 to make their reservation.
