As spring sports approach in Montana, sports enthusiasts are gearing up for their favorite outdoor activities. John Letasky, Chris Peterson, Daniel Shepard, Jake Iverson, and Briar Napier shared their excitement for baseball, softball, track and field, tennis, cycling, and the start of Legion Baseball season. They also discussed their thoughts on upcoming events such as the Big Sky State Games torch relay, the Montana All-Star Volleyball Classic, and March Madness.
Letasky expressed support for the torch relay, while Peterson thought it was a great way to engage the community. Shepard suggested a 406 Sports relay team, Iverson appreciated the ambition but wanted to see more small towns included, and Napier pointed out the challenges of running with a torch on varied terrains.
Regarding the Montana All-Star Volleyball Classic being held on a Friday, Letasky believed it was a great idea to spotlight volleyball, Peterson welcomed the celebration of the sport, Shepard questioned why it wasn’t already a tradition, Iverson found volleyball matches enjoyable live, and Napier supported giving Montana’s best volleyball players their own spotlight.
As for March Madness, Letasky looked forward to the basketball tourneys in Montana, Peterson anticipated his Wolverines’ performance, Shepard was more focused on NASCAR, Iverson liked the element of surprise in college ball games, and Napier was thrilled for a potentially strong showing from the Mizzou Tigers.
When it comes to movie theater snacks, Letasky enjoyed buttered popcorn and soda, Peterson indulged in cookie dough bites, Shepard preferred Mr. Pibb in a reclining chair, Iverson sometimes opted for a beer at Art House theaters, and Napier recommended mixing Cookie Dough Bites with popcorn for a delicious treat.
