Firefighters confront challenging fire in Martin City | Kalispell News


Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a structure fire on Central Ave in Martin City, Montana on Saturday, March 1. The fire was complex, taking nearly two hours to extinguish and an additional hour to address hot spots. Despite the challenges, no injuries were reported, with Three Rivers EMS on hand to check one person for smoke-related symptoms. The firefighters were able to clear the residence by 7:30 p.m. The community is grateful for the quick response and collaboration among the local fire departments.

The Hungry Horse Volunteer Fire Department, Martin City Fire, Bad Rock Volunteer Fire Department & QRU, Coram / West Glacier Fire, and Columbia Falls Fire Department all worked together to tackle the blaze. The teamwork and quick action of these departments likely prevented further damage and injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Residents in the area are reminded to ensure they have working smoke detectors and to have an evacuation plan in place in case of emergencies.
