Updated Evening Road Conditions in Montana on February 2, 2025

Heavy snowfall in Montana has led to dangerous road conditions, especially in southern and central parts of the state. The Montana Department of Transportation reports that most roads are covered with snow and ice, with some areas experiencing blowing and drifting snow. Highway 191 between Eddies Corner and Harlowton is closed due to slick roads and whiteout conditions. Chains are required for vehicles towing units along I-90 at Cardwell Hill and Homestake Pass. Residents are advised to stay home if possible and exercise caution while driving. Additional travel time should be allowed due to the messy road conditions expected over the next few days. The MDT’s road cameras can be accessed for current road conditions. Updates on road closures, delays, and school closures can be found on local news stations. Stay informed and stay safe during this ongoing snowstorm in Montana.
