Freezing Temperatures and Snow Piling Up

In Central Montana, an arctic front has brought sub-zero temperatures and accumulating snow. High temperatures today only reached single digits in the northern areas, teens in central areas, and up to the 30s in the south. Northern Central Montana will experience low temperatures below zero tonight with wind chills as low as -35. The arctic front is slowly moving south, bringing snow and gusty winds. Areas along the Hi-Line can expect less than half an inch of snow, but southern areas may see up to 8 inches, with Winter Storm Warnings issued for some locations. Another round of snow is expected Monday through Wednesday, with cold temperatures continuing through Wednesday. Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for most mountain locations in North-central, Central, and Southwestern Montana. Residents are advised to be cautious while traveling due to snow-packed roads and reduced visibility.
