The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Montana State University is hosting a virtual Friday Forum titled “Addressing Montana’s Suicide Crisis” on Feb. 14. The event, taking place via Zoom from noon to 1:30 p.m., will focus on Montana’s high suicide rate and efforts towards prevention. Tracy Rassley from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will discuss factors contributing to the state’s high rate and initiatives for prevention. Discussion will also include the formation of the first Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors chapter in Montana and the potential benefits of establishing a chapter in Gallatin County. The Friday Forum is free and open to the public, with registration required by 11 a.m. on Feb. 14. OLLI at MSU Friday Forums are held monthly from September to May.
