Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, has faced yet another setback as the trademark application has been delayed for three months. Royal biographer Angela Levin revealed that Meghan is frustrated by the ongoing trademark restrictions and has requested an extension, without which the process may need to restart.
The brand’s name similarity to another trademark in the Montecito area is causing complications, leading to the protest lodged by Harry & David, owners of the ‘Royal Riviera’ trademark. Levin suggested that changing the brand name might resolve the issue and prevent further delays.
Although Meghan has been promoting the brand through limited releases, products are not yet available for public purchase on the website. Celebrities like Kris Jenner, Chrissy Teigen, and Abigail Spencer have received baskets of homemade jams from American Riviera Orchard.
Levin also questioned whether Prince Harry would return to the UK to see his family while Meghan focuses on her lifestyle brand. She emphasized the importance of emotional connection in their relationship, especially as they navigate their professional separation.
The ongoing trademark issues have presented obstacles for Meghan’s brand launch, and it remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved within the extended deadline. Despite the setbacks, Meghan appears determined to pursue her entrepreneurial ventures while maintaining a distance from the royal family.
