CSUN Men’s Basketball recently completed a four-game road trip with a matchup against Montana State. The team finished 2-1 at Montana’s Stew Morrill Classic and improved to a 5-2 record for the season. Despite a loss to Montana, the Matadors had shown strong performance throughout the tournament. Key players like Keonte Jones and Marcus Adams Jr. were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Jones has been leading the team in multiple categories like points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals per game. CSUN heads into their Big West opener against UC Riverside with high-scoring averages and strong defensive stats. The team is currently leading the Big West in scoring, field goal percentage, assists, and opponent field goal percentage.
Newcomers like Marcus Adams Jr. and Scotty Washington have also been making an impact on the team. CSUN faces Montana State next, a team with a 3-4 record but strong double-digit scorers.
