The Montana Rescue Mission in Billings celebrated Thanksgiving by opening its doors to those in need of a warm meal and companionship. With over a hundred volunteers, the mission fed over 300 people traditional Thanksgiving dishes, despite ongoing renovations at the main building. Guests eagerly returned for seconds, showing gratitude for the generosity of the community volunteers. The mission had to move the service to a smaller venue due to construction, but found creative ways to keep guests comfortable, including distributing hot chocolate and using patio heaters to keep people warm while they waited outside. Executive Director Matt Lundgren expressed his appreciation for the support and dedication of the volunteers, emphasizing the importance of providing a welcoming space for those who may otherwise spend the holiday alone. The Montana Rescue Mission plans to continue offering warm meals and shelter to those in need throughout the holidays and the winter season in Billings.
