Montana Western, fresh off their second straight Frontier Conference title, is gearing up to face Dickinson State, their first challenge of the postseason. Western head coach Ryan Nourse praises Dickinson State for their tough, physical style of play which closely mirrors that of the Bulldogs. Dickinson State, a future Frontier Conference member, dominated the North Star Athletic Association this season and is looking to continue their success in the playoffs.
Both teams have respect for each other, with several connections between the coaching staffs. The Blue Hawks, who heavily recruit from Montana, will face Western in a highly anticipated matchup at Bulldog Stadium.
Dickinson State is prepared for the long road trip to Dillon and looks forward to joining the Frontier Conference full-time next year. Western coach Nourse is excited to have Dickinson State in the conference, believing they will add competitiveness and character.
