Jefferson High School in Boulder is celebrating the achievement of one of its star athletes, Luke Oxarart, who has committed to play football for Montana State University next year. This announcement comes after Oxarart overcame a serious injury that left him with nerve damage in both shoulders, forcing him to miss the remainder of the previous football season. Despite facing this setback, Oxarart persevered and worked hard to recover, demonstrating his resilience and determination.
Oxarart’s commitment to MSU is a testament to his talent and dedication to the sport, according to Jefferson High School head coach Clint Layng. Layng recalled observing Oxarart’s potential as a freshman and recognizing his ability to make a significant impact on the field. His hard hits and skillful plays set him apart as a standout player, leading to his eventual recognition by Division I collegiate programs.
As Oxarart prepares to join the Bobcats as a safety, he reflects on the challenges he has overcome and the support he has received from his coaches and teammates. His journey serves as an inspiration to young athletes facing adversity and striving to achieve their dreams in sports. Jefferson High School is proud to see one of its own succeed at the collegiate level and looks forward to cheering on Oxarart as he continues his football career at Montana State University.
