Garrett Hustedt, Montana Grizzlies defensive end, fights back

Montana senior Garrett Hustedt recently had a career-defining moment with his first interception in the sixth season of his college football career. Hustedt had considered not returning for his final season after Montana’s championship run in 2023 but ultimately decided to come back. He faced setbacks, including a broken collarbone during spring camp and again in June, but persevered through rehab and returned to the field. Hustedt has leaned on his faith and upbringing, which includes being the first in his family to earn a bachelor’s degree and pursuing a Master of Business Administration. Despite facing adversity, he has recorded 17 tackles this season, the second-highest in his career, and made a memorable play with his interception against Cal Poly.
