Montana airports gear up for Thanksgiving holiday travel | Missoula News

Montana airports are gearing up for an increase in travelers as Thanksgiving approaches, with passenger numbers doubling from last week. Despite the busy travel period, good weather and strong staffing levels are expected to ease the process. Brian Sprenger, CEO of Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, shared that they are currently seeing about 3,000 departing passengers per day, which is double compared to last week but still half of the summer peak. The influx of first-time travelers is expected to cause TSA delays, but authorities are working to get people through efficiently.

With fewer flights than in the summer, Thanksgiving can still pose challenges for travelers. However, airports like MSO and Glacier Park International Airport are optimistic about the holiday week, with favorable weather conditions. Travelers are advised to plan ahead and arrive at least two hours early before their flight to ensure a smooth travel experience. By being prepared, passengers can make their holiday journey stress-free.
