Montana Western’s football team has finally found a home on its own turf after years of practicing on fields plagued by gopher holes and mud. The team now plays on a state-of-the-art synthetic turf stadium on campus, a dream that became a reality through fundraising efforts and a partnership with the Erb family, who donated the land. The Bulldogs have finished their first season in the new stadium, hosting games and advancing to the second round of the NAIA championship. Head coach Ryan Nourse, a former player himself, is proud to see his team playing on a level field against tough opponents like Dickinson State. The stadium, still under construction, is set to feature additional amenities like lights, restrooms, and concession stands. The new facility has brought excitement not only to the players but also to fans and visitors who are discovering the campus for the first time. The stadium has provided visibility for the school and a sense of pride for the Bulldogs, who remain undefeated on their home turf. The team’s success is not only measured by wins and losses but also by the impact the new stadium has had on the program and the community.
