The Amicus Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Cameron, Montana, is partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to provide free books to children in six Montana counties. The program, which gifts one book per month to children from birth to age 5, is aimed at fostering a love of reading. The foundation has committed to covering the costs of the books and mailing in counties including Beaverhead, Broadwater, Deer Lodge, Jefferson, Madison, and Silver Bow County for the next five years. Founded in 2015 by John and Sheila Lake, the Amicus Foundation focuses on strategic investments in conservation, education, faith, families, health, and veterans. John Lake expressed his pleasure in supporting Imagination Library, stating that it is a benefit to Montana families. Parents or guardians can enroll their children in the program online by filling out a form on the Imagination Library website.
