A low-pressure system off the West Coast is moving inland, bringing snow showers to Montana. Accumulations will be minimal, mainly in mountain passes and higher terrain. Frigid air over north-central Montana will warm up due to southwest winds, except for the Hi-Line where temperatures will remain in the 10s and 20s. Colder air will return as the low pressure moves east, with temperatures dropping into the single digits and teens overnight. Disturbances will bring chances of light snow to central and eastern Montana, with slick travel conditions expected. Temperatures will drop closer to the weekend, with highs falling into the 0s and 10s. A high-pressure ridge building off the west coast will bring above-normal temperatures early next week, except for mountain valleys with inversions. Overall, the upcoming week looks to be drier with gradual temperature increases.
