The Billings Central volleyball team is gearing up for another shot at the State A title after being dethroned by rival Hardin last fall. Despite the setback, the team is focused and determined to bounce back stronger than ever. Coach Anita Foster emphasizes the importance of mental preparation, team unity, and resilience in overcoming challenges on and off the court. Senior player Ryen Hadley, who battled through a torn ACL, serves as a role model for perseverance and unity among teammates. Foster also emphasizes mindfulness and controlling emotions to help players bounce back from setbacks.
With just four seniors on the roster, the team remains confident in their abilities and experience on the big stage. Many of the players have competed in state championship games in multiple sports and are prepared for the pressure that comes with high-stakes matches. The Rams are set to face off against Lockwood on Thursday night, looking to continue their pursuit of another title run. With a strong focus on mental toughness, teamwork, and determination, Billings Central aims to reclaim the State A title and build on their legacy of success.
