NHL defenseman Jake Sanderson, a Montana native playing for the Ottawa Senators, will be featured on the MTN channel as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights. The Senators, with a 4-2-0 record and eight points, are tied for second place in the Atlantic division while Vegas holds second place in the Pacific division with a 4-2-1 record and nine points. Born in Whitefish, Montana, Sanderson played for the Glacier Avalanche before moving to Calgary, Alberta, where he continued his hockey career. He later joined the U.S. National Development Program and played collegiate hockey at the University of North Dakota, eventually being drafted fifth overall by Ottawa in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Sanderson was named to the NHL’s All-Rookie first team and signed an eight-year $64 million contract with the club in 2023.

In the current season, Sanderson has one goal, six assists, and 13 shots on goal in six games.
