Hold My Bar, a mobile non-alcoholic beverage business, is making waves in Montana. Founded in 2022 by Uriah Rosenzweig, the bar offers a unique prohibition-era oasis experience in a 1976 horse trailer. Serving drinks like “The Witch Doctor” and “Magical Rose Margarita,” Hold My Bar has become a community hub, with events at farmers markets and pop-up locations across the state.
Rosenzweig’s journey to creating Hold My Bar started when he decided to quit drinking and saw a need for non-alcoholic options in social settings. He tried brewing his own non-alcoholic beer before discovering dealcoholized spirits and wines. The bar has won awards for its alcohol-free beverages, fooling judges into thinking they contained liquor.
With a focus on engagement and personalized service, Hold My Bar has built a loyal following both in the Flathead Valley and beyond. Events like “Munchies on Main” in Butte and catering for Butte Pride have helped the bar expand its reach.
Looking to the future, Rosenzweig and his co-owner Mary Cortesi plan to offer more experiences for patrons, including yard games and potentially a brick-and-mortar location with live music and karaoke. Despite facing challenges in a society where third places for non-drinkers are scarce, Hold My Bar is carving out a unique space for sober and sober-curious individuals to enjoy the ambiance of a bar without alcohol.
