The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will be hosting an open house and listening session to discuss the Bell Crossing and US Highway 93 intersection. A traffic study conducted by MDT has shown a need for safety enhancements at this location, prompting the discussion of design alternatives to improve traffic flow and safety features. Construction is expected to begin in 2025, but details such as the contractor and right-of-way impacts are still being determined.
The open house events will take place on July 30, August 14, and August 29, giving residents and commuters the opportunity to learn more about the project and provide feedback to ensure the design meets the community’s needs. Bordering landowners will be contacted individually, and a virtual meeting option is available for those unable to attend in person.
For more information, including the detailed traffic study, visit the project webpage at https://mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/bellcrossing/. Residents with questions can contact Becca at becca@bigskypublicrelations.com or 406-207-4484. This open house and listening session are crucial steps in the process of improving the Bell Crossing and Highway 93 intersection for the safety and convenience of all who use it.
